<h3><strong>About role:</strong></h3>
<p>This is a foundational hire. TrueFoundry is building its finance function for the first time and the Finance Controller will be the operational backbone of that function.<br>You will work directly with the Director Finance and the founding team to establish the financial infrastructure, processes, and controls that will take the company through its Series B and beyond.<br>This role is for someone who has been in the room before, has built processes from scratch at a fast-moving startup, implemented ERP systems, managed cross-border compliance across India and the US, and closed books cleanly every single month regardless of how much else was happening. You know what good looks like, and you can build it here.</p>
<p>This is a high-ownership, high-impact role designed for an engineer who loves combining world-class systems thinking with real-world execution.</p>
<h3><strong>What you will do:</strong></h3>
<h3>Controllership & Monthly Close</h3>
<ul>
<li>Own end-to-end monthly close for India and US entities with zero surprises.</li>
<li>Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset register across both entities</li>
<li>Ensure full compliance with Ind AS for the India entity and US GAAP for the US entity</li>
<li>Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidated reporting across Ensemble Labs Inc (US) and Ensemble Labs Private Limited (India)</li>
<li>Prepare audit-ready financials and serve as the primary point of contact for statutory auditors</li>
<li>Build and document accounting policies, internal controls, and approval workflows from scratch</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>ERP Implementation & Finance Systems<br></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of the finance technology stack like ERP (NetSuite, Zoho Books, or equivalent), billing (Chargebee, Stripe), payroll (Gusto, Deel), expense management<br>(Brex, Ramp), and FP&A tooling</li>
<li>Build the quote-to-cash process: clean invoicing, collections, and DSO management from day one</li>
<li>Implement ASC 606 / Ind AS 115 compliant revenue recognition for SaaS contracts including deferred<br>revenue and ARR hygiene</li>
<li>Set up spend controls, procurement policies, and card programs that scale with headcount growth</li>
<li>Support SOC 2 evidence collection for finance-related processes and controls.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Statutory Compliance & Tax</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Own all India statutory compliance, GST filing and reconciliation (including OIDAR obligations), TDS deduction and remittance, ROC filings, and transfer pricing documentation between entities</li>
<li>Manage US compliance, federal and state tax filings, Delaware franchise tax, sales tax nexus monitoring, and R&D tax credit claims under IRC Section 41</li>
<li>Handle cross-border compliance including withholding tax on payments to foreign vendors and partners, DTAA planning, and permanent establishment risk management</li>
<li>Administer ESOP and cap table on Carta grants, exercises, 409A valuations, Form 3921, and India ESOP compliance under FEMA and Income Tax Act</li>
<li>Run US and India payroll with vendors, ensuring statutory compliance across both jurisdictions</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Treasury & Cash Management</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Own banking relationships, FX management, and intercompany settlements between India and US entities</li>
<li>Manage accounts payable, vendor onboarding, and procurement, ensuring clean audit trails</li>
<li>Optimise cash yield and manage liquidity forecasting, keeping the leadership team informed on runway at all times</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Who You Are:</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>CA or CPA qualification; Big 4 or top-tier audit background strongly preferred</li>
<li>8 to 10 years of finance experience with a minimum of 4 years in a fast-paced startup or high-growth technology company</li>
<li>Demonstrable experience scaling a finance function: you have built processes, implemented controls, and set up systems where none existed before</li>
<li>Hands-on ERP implementation experience you have led or been central to at least one ERP rollout (NetSuite, Zoho Books, Tally, or equivalent)</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of both Ind AS and US GAAP; multi-entity consolidation is familiar territory</li>
<li>Deep understanding of Indian statutory compliance: GST, TDS, ROC, transfer pricing — and US compliance including federal tax, Delaware, and R&D credits</li>
<li>Experience working directly with statutory auditors; you have owned the audit process, not just supported it</li>
<li>Fluency with SaaS metrics and revenue recognition under ASC 606 / Ind AS 115</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Good to have<br></strong></p>

<li>Experience with ESOP administration and cap table management on Carta or equivalent</li>
<li>Working knowledge of cross-border tax compliance DTAA, FEMA, OIDAR, withholding tax on foreign payments</li>

<li>Own the technical arc of the deal: discovery and the in-depth demo, the architecture discussion with the customer's engineering leaders, and the POC - all the way through to close.</li>
<li>Win the POC on technical merit: Co-define the success criteria with the customer, run the execution tracker and the milestones, and write the integration glue, agent workflows, and eval pipelines that prove value in their environment. The goal is delivered impact, not lines of code.</li>
<li>Make the architecture calls that decide how the customer would run AI in production. You are the technical decision-maker in the room - the CTO in the room - and the person their engineering leaders trust. </li>
<li>Be the technical face of TrueFoundry to enterprise customers, and earn the credibility that turns an evaluation into a signed contract.</li>
<li>Steer the product. You see, first-hand, what customers pull toward and where their first production win lands. Compile that field signal and bring structured, data-backed asks to TrueFoundry's engineering and product teams - your intuition helps shape the roadmap.</li>

<h2><strong>Who we're looking for</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Backend Engineering Experience: 3 to 7 years of backend software engineering experience with production systems you have shipped and owned. Strong in Python, Go, or TypeScript. Comfortable with Kubernetes or any major cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).</li>
<li>Business Acumen: You don’t just question the how but also the why - discovering impact, architecture design and deal-winning opportunities.</li>
<li>AI and ML literacy: You have worked with LLMs, agents, evals, or ML pipelines in production. Familiarity with the modern stack (vLLM, SGLang, LangChain, Triton, model serving) is a strong plus.</li>
<li>Design and Architecture: Comfortable leading an architecture discussion with a customer's engineering leaders, then doing the work yourself. High agency and a bias for action.</li>
<li>We especially welcome founding engineers and CTOs of early-stage startups, as well as engineers from infrastructure, MLOps, and developer-tool companies.</li>

<p><strong>About Role<br></strong><br>As a Support Engineer, you are the person these teams call when their production AI stack hits a wall. You are not answering how-to tickets for a SaaS tool. You are debugging MCP proxy scaling issues, RBAC and SSO configs, Gateway sizing, and guardrail behavior for engineering teams at some of the most sophisticated companies in the world, across finance, healthcare, retail, and more. Few support roles anywhere put you this close to how enterprise AI actually gets built and run.</p>
<p><strong>What you will do</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Be the first and most trusted line of response when enterprise customers hit issues in production, across severities from routine questions to P0 incidents.</li>
<li>Get hands-on with real infrastructure problems, Gateway configuration, MCP proxy scaling, RBAC and SSO, guardrails, sizing, not surface-level troubleshooting.</li>
<li>Own tickets to actual resolution, not just closure, and know the difference.</li>
<li>Triage and file issues to engineering with clean, reproducible detail when a fix needs to go deeper than support.</li>

<li>Quality of resolution: high first contact resolution rate, low reopen rate, strong CSAT on resolved tickets, and an escalation rate that reflects real complexity rather than gaps in troubleshooting.</li>
<li>Technical depth: a track record of finding actual root cause on infra issues rather than patching symptoms, clean and reproducible bug reports handed to engineering, and real contributions to the knowledge base and runbooks.</li>

<p>This role isn't measured by partnerships signed. You'll be measured by pipeline, customers, and revenue and by the co-sell, co-marketing, and field motions that make that repeatable.</p>
<h2>What you'll own</h2>
<ul>
<li>Build and scale partner-led revenue motions, starting with AWS and expanding across select cloud and ecosystem partners.</li>
<li>Activate partner field organizations: account mapping, seller relationships, enablement, customer introductions, and co-sell.</li>
<li>Build joint account and pipeline motions with clear targets, cadence, and commercial accountability.</li>
<li>Take strategic product partnerships — such as emerging AWS/TrueFoundry integrations — from initial customer proof to repeatable field GTM.</li>
<li>Design and run co-marketing motions: joint campaigns, customer stories, executive events, webinars, and field activations that generate pipeline.</li>
<li>Identify mutual customers and partner with TrueFoundry Sales to convert partner-sourced and partner-influenced opportunities into revenue.</li>
<li>Build the internal playbooks, metrics, and operating model for how TrueFoundry works with strategic partners at scale.</li>
<li>Develop new ecosystem opportunities across AI, security, identity, automation, and adjacent platforms.</li>
<li>Help shape the function as it grows, with room to take on broader ownership across strategic alliances and partner-led growth.</li>
</ul>
<h2>What we're looking for</h2>
<ul>
<li>5–7 years in strategic partnerships, alliances, cloud GTM, business development, or enterprise technology.</li>
<li>Experience building commercial motions with AWS, Azure, or another major cloud/ecosystem platform; reseller or SI experience is a strong plus.</li>
<li>A track record of turning partnerships into pipeline and revenue — not just managing relationships.</li>
<li>Comfortable operating across co-sell, co-marketing, and product/integration motions.</li>
<li>Strong enterprise presence with partner sellers, technical stakeholders, and customer executives.</li>
<li>Highly operational, with a track record of building something where the playbook doesn't exist yet.</li>
